Project Bonhoeffer is seeking to recruit new Trustees.
Project Bonhoeffer is a small registered charity (no. 1151148) that aims to promote understanding of the life and work of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and its contemporary implications, and of the relationship between Christian faith and social and political action. We work closely with the Student Christian Movement, supporting their work on “faith in action”, and also organise conferences and make grants to support other educational opportunities. We are looking to expand and diversify our work in order to make the best use of our financial resources.
Our trustee group meets approximately four times a year.
The charity is based in Leeds; remote participation in trustee meetings is possible.
We are seeking to recruit trustees who:
- Are committed to supporting, developing and promoting activities that enable and encourage contemporary Christians – especially but not only students and young people – to reflect on the relationship between faith and social action, and to put this reflection into practice
- Have an interest in the life and work of Dietrich Bonhoeffer
- Are willing to take on the responsibilities of a charity trustee
This is a voluntary role. Reasonable expenses of trustees will be paid.
With a view to making our trustee body more representative of the diverse beneficiaries of our work, we are particularly keen to receive applications from people from Black and minority ethnic backgrounds, and from younger people.

Please send a brief expression of interest, explaining your relevant skills and interests and your reasons for wishing to join the trustee board, to Project Bonhoeffer c/o the administrator, Katie Lowes: Katie.email@example.com.
We would welcome expressions of interest as soon as possible, and before 13th November 2020.
